Degree Requirements
Your research career will begin early in your first year as a graduate student. Choosing a research advisor, joining a research group, and beginning to formulate research idea are accomplished during the first year. Concentrated laboratory research and continued progress toward the ph. D. thesis occupy the remaining two or so years of the program.
Course requirement
Most students take 36 credits during the first two years. When entering the program, Department committee will customize the course work to meet course requirement.
Financial Support
CNU waives full tuition and room and board during the first two years. After the second year, financial support is usually provided by Research Assistantships. The Research adviser provides financial support to the qualified student during each of your program tenure through Research Assistantship along with fellowships that pay full tuition and other living expenses. This allows students to concentrate on thesis research.
